Tool Library

aka Library of Things

Why buy it? Borrow it. A shared resource for tools, gear, gadgets, and more.

Tool Library Donations

We’re building out the Tool Library and need your help!

Outgrown your gear? Upgrade your power tools? Cleaning out your own garage? Donate your tools, gear or gadgets and we’ll make sure they’re never neglected! We’re currently accepting donations for items in our Wish List and more.

Donated tools must be:

  • in good working condition (no broken tools)

  • movable by a single person

  • dropped off at 65 Fix Way (no pick-ups)

DONATION DROP OFF TIMES:

Mondays 3-6pm

Wednesdays 9am-12pm

Fridays 4-6pm

Saturdays 12-2pm

We only accept donations that have been approved in person or by emailing connect@65fixway.org with details about the donation and ideally pictures.

This support expands the offering of our Tool Library giving more people access to tools in cost-effective ways. And it frees up your garage space and keeps things out of the landfill. So many wins!

We cannot accept every tool and we reserve the right to turn away, redistribute, or sell tools we cannot use, easily service/repair, or have space to store.

STATUS: we are collecting donations in an effort to build out the Tool Library and other resources. We are currently aiming to open memberships in July 2026.

Membership

Using the Tool Library is a lot like borrowing from a public library, but instead of books we’ll have shelves full of tools, gear and other items for you to borrow. You can search and reserve items through our online inventory and pick them up during our open hours.

To borrow you’ll need a Tool Library membership. Memberships are available for Ventura County residents over 18+ with a valid ID.

Tool Library memberships are pay-what-you-can. You choose what you want to pay based on what you can afford. We recommend $100 for your one-year membership, but members can pay much less or much more. Membership donations over $100 help provide subsidized memberships for low-income community members.

Our inventory goals include a range of tools for woodworking, home repair, gardening, cooking, sewing, outdoor gear, games and more. Items are rented for 7 days and there are no additional rental fees. Browse our growing inventory here.
